Scare tactics used in #PubLooShocker drink driving campaign

The Department for Transport has employed scare to grab attention in its latest anti-drink driving advert.
The campaign, created by Leo Burnett for the DfT, features unsuspecting drinkers in a pub bathroom, looking into the mirror while they wash their hands. The patrons are suddenly brought face-to-face with the bloody head of a person smashing through the mirror – much like a car crash.
The reaction of the men in the video clearly shows it has had the desired affect , with many them cowering in the corner. Whilst the campaign may seem slightly gruesome, the video has gone viral suggesting it is doing what the DfT wanted and raising awareness of an incredibly important topic.
