Here’s who’s behind random acts of kindness Twitter profile @TheTwoFairies

A Twitter profile popped up towards the very end of October, called @TheTwoFairies. It tweets in rhyme and performs public random acts of kindness, granting wishes to people around the UK. Examples include delivering gift boxes of cupcakes, tea and makeup.
On Monday, the account brought Christmas to Cornish schoolchildren early by covering Landewednack primary school in snow:
We can hardly believe it! Did you see the snow, at this school in Cornwall? Let your friends know! #FollowTheFairies pic.twitter.com/JffabvqZvl — The Two Fairies (@thetwofairies) November 3, 2014
The fairies were even spotted flying over the Tyne:
Look up in the sky, sparkling and gliding! Could it be a fairy? Wouldn’t that be exciting.. #FollowTheFairies pic.twitter.com/KhSgI0LPNE — The Two Fairies (@thetwofairies) November 4, 2014
So, it’s clear the fairies have a bit of budget behind them.
I asked on Twitter this morning if anybody knew which brand was behind the Christmassy feel-good campaign because, well, there had to be, and, it turns out all signs point to Marks & Spencer according to this Mirror Online piece, from the Who.Is registrant information (since changed, but supposedly pointed to the PR agency involved) to the suspicious fact all the gift boxes are filled with M&S products.
I’d be very surprised if this wasn’t right, but in all honesty, I’m a sucker for a good Christmas campaign no matter how financially motivated it might be at the end of the day, and this is one I really like.
