Drake set to create soundtrack for famous auction house

In a stunt by the renowned auction house Sotheby’s, Drake is set to create a soundtrack for an upcoming auction, which will be showcasing the works of contemporary American black artists.
The works will be on display in New York during spring, with designated listening stations besides each of the twenty works in the Sotheby’s gallery, playing songs selected by Drake that match each of the particular pieces.
The aim of the stunt is encourage a younger audience of music enthusiasts to appreciate the various works on display.
The auction will take place in April and feature names such as Rashid Johnson, Nick Cave, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Wangechi Mutu.
