Coca-Cola create shooting stars in new ‘Wish in a Bottle’ campaign
By Rich Leigh on Wednesday, November 11, 2015
Legal gateway drug Coke, to its credit, always does a great job when it comes to feel-good campaigns, hanging them off its ‘choose happiness’ brand message.
Here’s another called ‘Wish in a bottle’, in which thousands of TEENAGERS as we’re helpfully (and gratingly) told, set off a shooting star upon opening a bottle of the fizzy stuff.
Coca-Cola achieved this by attaching transmitters to the bottles, which fed back to drones (obvs) flying nearby. Said drones then let off a firework – a ‘star’, which is, despite my hastily-penned grumpiness, actually very smart, making for some great shots.
I mean, WOULD YOU JUST LOOK AT THE FRESH-FACED, HARD-TO-MARKET-TO TEENS!?
Thanks very much to Matthew of the Muir for tweeting with this.
