Nolet celebrate 325 years of history with 3D projection

Dutch drinks brand, Nolet, recently celebrated 325 years in the distillery industry with 3D projection and interactive experiences.
The five-day long celebration kicked off on Saturday 14th May and finished with two gala dinners (no expense spared it seems).
The Nolet family’s history was projected onto the world’s tallest windmill, the Windmill De Nolet, located at the brand’s flagship Schiedam distillery in The Netherlands, with a 10 minute animation taking visitors through the 11 generations of craftsmanship.
The giant windmill (55 metres high) was the centrepiece of the celebrations, which more than 900 guests, media, industry figures and staff attended.
The animation showed the Dutch golden age of painting, the industrial revolution, the art deco movement and WWII, right up to contemporary distillation processes, before a pyrotechnics show wrapped up the evening.
Lily Crum, TBA’s project lead, said: “The nature and importance of this moment in time celebration meant that we had to do something extraordinary to mark the moment.
“With our creative team working closely with the very talented team at Projection Artworks, we created what even I had not dared to imagine – the most memorable 3D story of a life’s work for our client. An extraordinary show that will stand the test of time.”
Kelly Eagle, Projection Artworks’ head of outdoor, added: “Although we’re used to creating projection-mapped spectaculars for display across global landmarks, we don’t often get ten whole minutes to play with. The epic length of this animation meant we could span centuries’ worth of references in all manner of styles.”
Agencies involved: Brand experience agency TBA and Projection Artworks.
