On Saturday 1st May, London’s Piccadilly Lights will unite with digital outdoor advertising landmarks in three other major cities to showcase a new work of art from David Hockney.
Hockney has made a bespoke digital animation of his piece called ‘remember you cannot look at the sun or death for very long’ which is two and half minutes long. The work will also be showcased across 70 billboards in New York, COEX K-POP Square, the largest LED screen in Korea, and Yunika Vision in Japan.
The piece is set to offer a powerful symbol of hope and collaboration as the world awakens from lockdowns.
The new video will be shown every evening throughout the month of May at London’s Piccadilly Lights, Piccadilly Circus at 20:21.
