Canary Wharf Partners with The Eden Project to Create a Green ‘Oasis’ in Docklands

Canary Wharf has partnered with the Eden Project, a charity and social enterprise based in Cornwall, to create a vibrant green “oasis” in the heart of the Docklands.

Eden Dock features floating gardens, boardwalks, and aquatic habitats aimed at boosting biodiversity. The centrepiece, “Nature Rising,” is a living artwork consisting of over 20 figures made of ligustrum—a flowering shrub—dotted around the dock.

Eden Dock is set to enrich the Wharf experience with new public spaces and extensive planting both in and around the dock’s waters. Beyond enhancing the area’s biodiversity, the initiative aims to improve the well-being of those who work, live, and visit the neighbourhood.

The project has come to life based on new research from Canary Wharf, which reveals that nearly three-quarters of office workers prefer working near water and green spaces.
