Duolingo just trolled us all with “Duolingo on Ice,” and honestly, they should make it real.
The fake trailer dropped on socials, pitching a four-hour, no-intermission ice skating musical choreographed by a (mysteriously unnamed) “two-time Emmy winner.”
The tagline? “Treat your family to the magic, the wonder, and the chilling performances of Duolingo on Ice.”
Audience reactions? “Everything is better on ice!” and the darkly hilarious “Where’s my son? They took my son?” I
Duo, the internet’s favorite passive-aggressive owl, waddles around in a clunky costume while morph-suited dancers twirl nearby. The unimpressed audience cutaways are chef’s kiss.
A perfect April Fools’ gag—but we kinda wish it wasn’t.
