Utilising virals for PR: Page 3 girls do the Harlem Shake

The Harlem Shake is taking over the world, and jumping on the bandwagon of a viral internet dance craze is a sure way to get attention.

Just in case you don’t know, the Harlem Shake is a dance which typically begins with one person (donning a strange mask or outfit) bopping to the music on his own, before the bass line drops and pandemonium involving a number of dancers going wild follows.

It is the aim to create a scene of random madness, and in many of the spoofs people strip off, presumably to enhance the feeling of hedonistic debauchery.

Enter the Page 3 girls, who took it upon themselves to create their own version, and remind Sun readers exactly why they love Page 3 amidst a fierce call for its removal.

The video is short and not especially inspiring, but it’s enough to get the Metro interested and portray Page

3 girls as innocently fun and on trend, which can only be good news for the Sun.
